day 7 - Merriville, Indiana to Cleveland, Ohio

Just shy of Pride of Cleveland Scooters, Day 7

finally i took a picture of one of the hotels...

not sure why i got up and watched the gang take-off on day 7. normally patrick would get up at 5:30, dress, do yoga, have breakfast (i would put out his clothes and breakfast ingrediants the night before, pretty fabulous service, don't you think?). when he left at just before 7, i would get up, shower dress, back the car and pay the bill. this particular day, i got out of bed and i have no idea why.

the ride wasn't always the most organized event. as you can see from the picture to the right, just moments before start, all the bikes were pointing in the opposite direction. yes, directions were sometimes an issue.

day 7 was the drive to cleveland. took the interstate again. just before cleveland, i really wanted a jamocha shake. mark h was in my car again and we saw a sign for an arby's. perfect! hop off the interstate, get a shake, get back on. well, didn't turn out that simple. these are turnpikes and they do crazy shit. so we got off, couldn't find the arby's and when i tried to turn around to go back the way we had come, i ended up on a totally different interstate. you are not able to get off, go over the overpass, and get back on. we drove in circles for like an hour. ended up on one of those crazy streets that goes across the whole town. you know, the one's where you are like 'oh great, i am on state street. what block is this?', '200 North', 'oh, our address is 1600 South'. we did eventually find pride of cleveland scooters (and beat patrick for the second and last time!), and even encountered an arby's on the way so it wasn't a complete loss. i felt dumb though...

yeah, yeah, yeah, 1st in our class, 12th overall...and they said we would never make it...
