weekend round-up
it was a busy weekend.
-saw 4 hours worth of improv marathon shows.
-made dinner at lyn's and exposed her to the movie 'delicatessen'.
-went to a friend's bday party and sang karaoke with a live band.
-got up at 7am to go see the last hour of the 41-hour improv marathon. they were delirious.
-then slept until 3 in the afternoon in their honor.
-picked up the tng.
-went to bennu.
-changed the cat box.
-cleaned that cat's water fountain *optimus prime loves it as long as it is very clean, when it isn't, she reverts to hovering around faucets*.
-tried to do some homework but my teacher got the dates wrong and it really wasn't due until next week. also not available until next week. which is cool.
-picked-up my friend Mo from the airport. psychically she knew i would be wearing an ACDC t-shirt so we played the lottery.
-had chinese food too.
-changed the sheets.
-won a goodwill auction for a radio flyer little red wagon. which was a very strange experience. happen to arrive for the verbal bidding. those people are obviously there every week
coming up this week...summer school, errands galore, gym. man, i can't wait for august 30th.
i was sad earlier this week because i feel society doesn't value me. they spent all this energy raising and training me. i have TONS of experience. i am decently smart and very clever. and yet, i can't even get a call back on jobs i apply for. it seems like such a waste. makes me sad too. i am merely a 40-year old, well educated, single-ish, white-woman and no one seems to give me a second thought employment wise. sure, the market is tough. but it seems i should be able to fit in somewhere. i hope society lasts through finishing nursing school. and i find a job then...
