the long weekend and bad financial news
i have a bunch of pictures from amerivespa, but it will take me a while to get them together. i'll work on it soon. promise.
a GREAT thing that happened is i found someone to truck my bike back to patrick in the bay. yeah! it is safely in his hands and he isn't 100% convinced the frame is bent. that would be AWESOME. such a relief to get it moving again, the process at least. andreas had the idea to rent a truck. it worked out perfectly, though andreas didn't get to see much of amerivespa, and i felt bad about that.
i found out today my financial aid was cancelled. they said i didn't go everything i needed to to get the check. but they also didn't tell me what i had to do. i am hoping to talk to my financial aid counselor and get her to intervene. we talked on the phone about a month ago and she said 'you need to take the online orientation and do the promissory note'. no mention if in-person orientation. i called them every week for at least 3 weeks and no one called me back. i need that money. i am seriously screwed if it doesn't come through. why every time i get through one hurdle, do i get smacked down by something else?
yesterday i found out my back-up drive wasn't dead AND found the right power adaptor for it. i have a full back-up now!
and all i have done in the last 2 days is eat
it is hard to think good thoughts right now. as excited as i am about nursing school, i would REALLY like a job. positive cash flow would be SO nice. the slog gets harder and harder.
