all in
i went to the LVN orientation today. this is in case i don't get into the ADN program. mom says LVN's are glorified bedpan cleaners, but i still think it will be a very exciting program if it is the one i end up in (she did also say she thought i was better than just an LVN, which was a nice mom compliment). a totally new world for me. and every process counts. i can make patient's experiences better and everything run more smoothly if i do my job the best i can, even if i am only an LVN. and, surprisingly, there are a number of REALLY well paying LVN positions in central texas. i really REALLY hope i get into the ADN program, but i'll still be pleased if i just end up in LVN.

turned in my paperwork for TAA today. it was the final 'request for funds' hurdle. there are at least 3 reasons, that they could deny me, that i can think of off the top of my head, but it is the most logical to approve my request. so i am just hoping the fed government will do the most logical thing in this case. if not. i dunno. probably use the rest of my retirement to fund the classes myself. at least i would be able to get a part-time job. i fear i am going to be SUPER bored this summer if i have to wait for school to start in aug and can't get a job. my first summer free since high school.

the capo climbs up the drapes in my bedroom. i have heard about cats that do that. i have seen pictures. but i have never had a cat that did it. it is annoying. especially at 3 in the morning.
