2nd highest grade on my A&P exam last night. the sad part, high was an 88, i got an 86. he is going to curve it 10 points. talked to my competition from A&P I yesterday. she got an 83 on the HESI. i am so going to get into that program! RN here i come!
i brought a pumpkin and a blackberry pie to A&P last night. clement is JUST about mine 100%. he looked SO happy after eating a piece of the blackberry. we had an interesting conversation about being well-rounded too. i was telling someone else why i think i did so well on the vocab on the HESI...life experience. he heard us talking about it and when i was cleaning up my pie mess mentioned a bio thesis defense he witnessed once. the non-departmental person on the committee asked the following question: 'Please discuss the theme and significance of the poem 'The Charge of Light Brigade'. the person defending didn't have a clue. mostly because they had dedicated themselves to biology. which is understandable. but the english dept dude commented that they wanted their graduates to be well-rounded. i don't think it is fair to as about a specific poem, unless you are sure they would have been exposed to that poem. but i think it would be fair to ask for an example of a poem (or other literary work) and its theme and significance. as to clement in general, i just love that he is totally comfortable enough to talk about experiences like that. he said he could have answered it because he has a background in english (makes sense with the competitive scrabble). he also noticed my pie tattoo for the first time. he thought it was clever considering my hobby.
got a panic call from a friend today looking for people to help her finish her move. she had to be moved by the end of the night. i gave up my games night to help out. and i am not complaining. i did really want to go to games night. but moving is something you have to do when a friend asks. for some reason that is one of those 'must do' things in my book. anyhow, i went over, did some organizing and we made it happen. when another friend showed up with a car, it only took 2 trips plus several trips to the dumpster. piece of cake! of course, i have had to take a pain killer when i got home. fuck i hate getting old.
got my boobs squished for the first time today! and it didn't hurt! yeah! the positions i had to stand in were weird. but there squishing was nothing! some other ladies i talked to think it is because i have full breasts. that smaller breasts have to be pushed out a lot to get in the image properly. part of me thinks that makes sense, part thinks fuller boobs would have to be flatter because there is more tissue to go through. this was a brand-spanking new digital machine. very cool. oh! and i got to see the pictures. though the bottom of my breasts are mostly fat tissue now, i have a lot of fibrous tissue in the center and to the top. that bodes well for lack o'sag for a few more years. yeah!
